OLEDs may have the deep blacks everyone seems to crave, but they draw A LOT more power than standard LCD-type screens. You won’t be raving about battery life if Apple goes that route.

I don’t think there is any OLED panel out there that can do 1600 nits. They won’t sacrifice top brightness for better blacks. XDR is a big selling point for the new MBPs. Read more
